The troubled actress, 36, who canceled a public appearance on Saturday, was seen walking near downtown Los Angeles early Sunday morning with no clothes on.
He is said to have waved a car down and told a driver he was “coming off a psychotic episode” before calling 911.
Bynes was taken to a police station where a mental health team placed her in a 5150 psychiatric hold.
