Amanda Bynes was seen putting her best foot forward as she takes on a new important step in her life.

The former child star, 38, was photographed in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon dressed casually while running her daily errands and scrolling on her phone.

His sighting in the City of Angels comes just weeks after he held his own successful art exhibition, 15 years after leaving the entertainment business.

Since leaving Hollywood, Amanda has set her sights on a career in fashion and art.

Her parents placed her under legal guardianship for nine years in 2010, and she has been slowly getting her new career plans off the ground ever since.

Lately, fans have been introduced to the star with overwhelming support thanks to her hosting a pop-up art exhibit in December. Several celebrities were also in attendance, including Miley Cyrus’ younger sister, Noah Cyrus.

And recently, a source close to the former child star revealed that pursuing a career in art is a “tremendous step forward.”

“This is and was a tremendous step forward for Amanda,” the source said.

“She will go through mental health issues for the rest of her life, but to be out there and share with friends and fans and be close to her latest love, her art was exactly what she needed.”

Fans will remember his highly publicized breakdown in the early 2010s, which led to a series of strange tweets, legal troubles, and troubling behavior that ultimately resulted in a downward spiral and his conservatorship.

In 2015, Amanda told Paper Magazine that she had “definitely abused Adderall,” a popular medication for treating ADHD, hoping to use its stimulant and appetite-suppressing effects to help her maintain her desired weight.

The star first got into fashion and art while attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, where she graduated with an associate’s degree in art in 2014.

The source also shared that the star is “happy and relaxed” as she has created a smaller-scale persona that provides a new form of fulfillment.

“It was a relief and it calmed her down and she was just happy and relaxed.” The source shared. “It didn’t start out that way because he was worried about how people would take it, but it was as successful as it could be.”

“He hopes to do more in the new year, because his return to active acting just isn’t going to happen,” they added.
