When Amanda Abbington appeared on Newsnight last week, she said her former Strictly partner Giovanni Pernice insulted her.
In fact, he said his time on the BBC show was a “non-stop litany of verbal abuse” from the Italian star.
But the Mail can now reveal that Ms Abbington called Pernice a series of bad words, and even the BBC investigation considered she was the one who started the foul language.

Ms Abbington previously spoke out about what she claims was her ordeal on last year’s Strictly show.
It was also ruled that the Sherlock actress, 52, was the only one of the pair to use the ‘c-word’ in the hours of rehearsal material seen by investigators at the inquest.
Corporation sources can reveal that, during their written exchanges on WhatsApp, Ms Abbington referred to the Sicilian dancer as “idiot head”, “idiot face” and “t**t”, despite her complaints . who abused her.
A source close to Pernice said: “Amanda has continued to come out and say how mean Giovanni has been to her, but she was saying things like this to him.”
“She used a lot of bad language, but she went on TV to say how terrible things were for her and how she had to come home and process all of Giovanni’s bad words.

The review found that Pernice had used “disparaging” language towards her.

Pernice now appears on the Italian version of Strictly, Ballando Con Le Stelle, where she topped the ratings on Saturday with her famous partner, actress Bianca Guaccero.
