They own several huge mansions in stunning locations around the world, and George and Amal Clooney are likely very grateful for all that space, given the latest addition to their family.
The couple has just taken possession of a Saint Bernard puppy named Nelson, which is said to have been a surprise gift from the actor to his wife for her 46th birthday.
The cute puppy already seemed to be more than a problem for civil rights lawyer Amal when the couple took him for a walk through the picturesque streets of the town of Cotignac in the south of France.
She struggled to pick him up, and then had to use both arms to cradle him, although she should enjoy it while she can, since Saint Bernards can weigh up to 30 pounds.
Wearing a belted suede minidress and black boots, Amal laughed as the pup bounded through the winding medieval streets.

Civil rights attorney Amal seemed to have immediately fallen head over heels in love with the fluffy bundle of joy as she carried him in her arms.
The loving couple walked Nelson through the streets of Contingac, a small town 32 kilometers from Brignolses, in the Var, on the Côte d’Azur, where they now live.
She and George, 62, who was wearing jeans and a navy polo, visited an art gallery and met friends for lunch on the terrace of Picotte gourmet restaurant.
It is speculated that the Clooneys have moved permanently to the Côte d’Azur and no longer spend time at their £10million Thameside mansion in Sonning, Berkshire.
The couple, along with their six-year-old twins Ella and Alexander, are said to have lived for several months at the 18th-century Domaine du Canadel.
And they have not been seen at the UK Grade II listed property, which they bought in 2014 and spent millions renovating, for two years, according to locals.
Their idyllic French estate includes a 25-acre vineyard, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a pétanque field, an olive grove, and an ornamental lake.
It’s also just a 25-minute drive from Chateau Miraval, the winery that George’s close friend and fellow actor Brad Pitt bought with Angelina Jolie when they were still married.
He has since secretly sold his stake to a Russian vodka oligarch, sparking an ongoing bitter legal battle over who holds the majority stake.
The couple enjoyed the sun and charm of this picturesque southern French town while taking their new dog Nelson to explore the area.
Nelson appears to be very well trained already, as he was seen sitting in front of his new superstar owners.

After a while, Nelson had clearly burned out and was soon hired by civil rights attorney Amal.

George arranged a romantic getaway in the village of Cotignac, where the couple was seen taking a romantic stroll.
They then had lunch at the Picotte restaurant, a gourmet establishment that offers local cuisine with fresh and local products.
The Clooneys, who married in Venice six years ago, also have a luxurious home on the shores of Lake Como in Italy.
George purchased Villa Oleandra from the Heinz family in 2002 and spends most summers at the property, which features a basketball court, a movie theater and a garage full of vintage motorcycles.
It has hosted a number of stars, including Jennifer Aniston and Matt Damon, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Parts of Clooney’s film Ocean’s Twelve were also filmed there. There have been reports that Clooney was willing to sell it, but he insists they are not true.
Nelson is not the first Saint Bernard the family has owned. Four years ago, George brought in his puppy, Rosie, named after his late aunt, actress and singer Rosemary Clooney.
He is also known for rescuing animals, which end up traveling the world with him. He previously owned cocker spaniel Einstein, who died in 2017, and the couple have since rescued basset hound Millie and Louie, another spaniel.
