Davis Cup professional Daniel Altmaier has won the Challenger tournament in Sarasota. The 24-year-old tennis pro prevailed in Florida in the final against the Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan 7: 6 (7: 1), 6: 1.
Altmaier now travels to Munich with a lot of self-confidence, where the BMW Open is coming up this week. By winning the title, he moved up 20 places in the world rankings and is now ranked 93rd.
He should therefore be qualified directly for the main draw at the French Open in Paris from May 28th to June 11th.
