All aboard the Tay Tay Express! Swiftmania hits Sydney’s trains ahead of the first local Eras concert

More than 300,000 Swifties are expected to flock to Sydney’s Accor Stadium this weekend for the long-awaited Eras Tour concert.

In honor of the occasion, Sydney trains have been renamed ‘Tay Tay Express’ for fans traveling to the Olympic Park.

Concertgoers will also be able to hear some of Taylor’s biggest hits blasted over the train’s loudspeaker.

Public transportation will be free for ticket holders.

Fans were delighted to see public transport take over the Swiftie spirit: “I’m in Melbourne and I want to take this train,” one user wrote.

“I’d take a train just for this,” wrote another.

The Olympic Park will be very busy on Friday and Saturday nights with Blink-182 performing next door at the Qudos Bank Arena.

It comes after NSW Police encouraged thousands of concert-goers to plan ahead for the weekend to avoid last-minute stress.

Acting Deputy Commissioner Andrew Holland announced that “additional shuttle services will be available this weekend and we encourage concertgoers to use them.”

Police operations will be implemented from Friday, February 23 to Monday, February 26 to ensure the safety of all attendees and staff.

With large crowds expected, Acting Deputy Commissioner Holland urged those without tickets to stay away from the stadium to avoid unwanted congestion.

Holland went on to say: “Anti-social behavior will not be tolerated and the police will act fairly but firmly to ensure everyone has a good time, but not at the expense of other people’s safety, so please look out for each other.” .
