Alison Steadman has revealed her secret heartbreak while filming Gavin And Stacey Finale.
The actress, 78, who will reprise her role as Pamela Shipman in the final episode of the BBC comedy, candidly admitted she is “going through a sad time”.
In a new interview on Friday, Alison said she has been around the country caring for her sister, who has been diagnosed with dementia.
she said The mirror: ‘Right now I’m going through a bit of a sad moment. My older sister, who is 90 years old, has dementia.
She is bedridden and has no one to help her except me. I’m going back and forth to Liverpool trying to look after her.

Alison is the youngest of three sisters, she lost her other sister Pamela two years ago.
He added: ‘Maybe that’s why they sent me. Little sister always has to take charge at some point.’
