Alison Hammond has broken her silence after sparking engagement rumors by sporting a giant diamond on her ring finger.
The presenter, 49, flashed the sparkler on Friday’s episode of This Morning after going public with her relationship with her toyboy boyfriend David Putman, 26.
Alison began dating the Russian masseuse after she booked him for a £150 massage and the pair hit it off and is said to be “happier than ever” with David after a “turbulent love life”.
As Alison and Dermot O’Leary sat watching the showbiz headlines, Alison glanced at her iPad and exclaimed: ‘OMG, apparently I’m engaged!’
Squashing the rumours, she confirmed that David has yet to pop the question, as he explained that he had put the ring on the wrong finger.
Alison Hammond has sparked engagement rumors after being spotted with a giant diamond on her ring finger during Friday’s episode of This Morning.
Alison has been dating Russian masseuse David Putman, 26, since she booked him for a £150 massage and the pair hit it off.
“Oh, I put this on the wrong finger,” she said, surprised. “Let me change it to stop these rumors.”
He added: “It’s just a cheap ring from Primark.” It’s cute, is not it?! Let’s change it because we don’t want those rumors.
The couple’s relationship emerged last month despite their 23-year age difference, which is said to have caused an issue with David’s mother.
However, David is madly in love with the TV presenter and is said to be ignoring his mother Olga’s advice to end things due to the age difference and the fame Alison has bought her son.
Olga is said to have called her son every day to beg him to break up with Alison, but David is firmly turning his back on her advice.
A source said Sun: ‘David is happy with his relationship, so anything his mother says won’t affect him.
“She feels uncomfortable because her son is with someone who has much more financial power than him. Olga’s traditional values do not sit well in their relationship.
“She has told him in very clear terms that he must end this. Olga raised her children in the Orthodox Church. This type of relationship does not fit her beliefs.

Last month it emerged that the presenter, 49, is dating Russian masseuse David Putman, 26, despite their 23-year age difference.
“David is happy in their relationship, so anything his mother says won’t affect him,” a source said.
“He calls his son almost every day and tells him how unhappy he is.”
Alison opened up about their relationship for the first time earlier this month and confirmed that David even has her son Aiden’s seal of approval.
She shares Aiden with her ex-husband, Noureddine Boufaied, and opened up about her views on dating on Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe Podcast Parenting hell.
Aiden, who is 19, is only a few years younger than her new boyfriend, David.
Explaining the difficulties of dating as a mother, Alison confessed: “It’s harder, now that he’s older he’s more verbal. He’ll want to know who this person is and he’ll want to get to know him.
‘It’s much more difficult. You’ll want to know this guy is treating me right.
‘The person I’m seeing right now is on his Instagram and says, ‘Yeah, I like it, it’s not too aggressive.’ Aiden is on it.’
When talking about the first time David and her son met, she revealed: “When they actually met, he really liked him, he really thought he was charming, so that’s nice.
‘Thank God for that! Because normally Aiden hates anyone I date, he literally just isn’t interested.
And in that moment you know that if Aiden doesn’t like them, this won’t work. There are times when I think, “Who’s the father here?!”
“It’s nice because I always feel like there’s someone there looking out for me and protecting me.”
Originally from Krasnodar, Russia, David left the country for the United Kingdom in December 2022 to escape the frontline following President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
A friend of David’s previously told him Sun: ‘When the war began in Ukraine, David’s mother, Olga, began to worry. She didn’t want her children to be involved in this. She wanted them safe like any mother would.
David therefore moved to the UK, where he now lives with his uncle Nigel Putman, 71, in Slough, but spends a lot of time in London for work.
The friend explained that David was able to avoid being drafted into the Russian army because his father, also called David, is originally from Slough, so the young masseuse already had British citizenship.
David’s father is reportedly a retired welder and sheet metal worker who moved to Russia in the late 1990s after marrying Russian architect Olga Kovalenko after divorcing his first wife.
David also two brothers.the twins Apollo and Sviatoslov, three years older than him and born in England.
They explained: ‘David is a very calm, simple and thoughtful person who likes to play the guitar. He’s the strong, silent type, not a pushover, but not talkative like Alison either.
Alison opened up about their relationship for the first time last week and confirmed that it even has her son Aiden’s seal of approval.

“In that sense, they are perfect for each other and for David age is just a number. He doesn’t mind fame, he probably didn’t even know who Alison was when they met.
The Sun also reportedly spoke to David himself, but he still did not want to talk about his reasons for leaving Russia or his relationship with Alison.
Alison hinted at their growing relationship in November when she liked David’s post documenting a recent trip to Dublin.
A source said Sun: ‘Alison has never been happier. She’s had a turbulent love life, but she’s finally sure she’s found a trustworthy partner.
