Alina Habba, the president’s new adviser, gushed about the “beautiful Melania” Thursday as she reflected on President-elect Donald Trump’s selection as Time’s “Person of the Year” and her role in the new administration.
Habba, who served as Trump’s lawyer and campaign adviser, was asked by Fox News’ Martha MacCallum if he was by the ex-president’s side during the hush money trial of Stormy Daniels.
She then pointed to Trump, with Melania at his side, ringing the bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday morning, part of the Person of the Year celebration.
“I’m proud, I’m very proud of him,” said an emotional Habba. “Let me be very clear: Even though everyone was really worried and even though those days were very dark, this man was never dark. He was always smiling, he was always happy, he was always fighting.”
Habba said she believed Trump was “breaking politics.” ‘Politics became no longer relevant. It became humanity. And I think we have won humanity,” she said.
During the 2024 campaign, Trump also survived an assassination attempt when police thwarted another assassination attempt at his West Palm Beach golf club.
She said he deserved to win the November election.
‘Look how beautiful Melania looked today. I was dying. I mean the whole story, history will be kind to this man,” Habba said. “He’s persevered more than anyone should.”
Alina Habba appeared on The Story with Martha MacCallum on Thursday and talked about what it was like to see the president-elect at the New York Stock Exchange and previewed her role in the Trump 2.0 White House

Habba began advising Trump on legal matters in 2021.
She reportedly met the former president at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, as her law firm, Habba Madaio & Associates, is located nearby.
Trump announced Sunday that Habba would serve as his adviser to the president, a role in his first administration that was filled by Kellyanne Conway, his 2016 campaign manager — another prominent New Jersey woman in politics.
“As a first-generation Middle Eastern American, she has become a role model for women in law and politics, and was recently named Chaldean Woman of the Year,” Trump boasted in the press release.
Habba is a Chaldean Catholic whose family has roots in Iraq.
“She has been steadfast in her loyalty and unparalleled in her determination – she has stood by me through countless ‘trials,’ battles and countless days in court,” Trump said. “Few understand the weaponization of the ‘injustice’ system better than Alina, who has fought relentlessly against the full force of the rule of law, with courage and an unwavering commitment to justice.”
She told MacCallum on Thursday that she told Trump, “I’m here to do whatever you want.”
‘And that’s the truth. But I will say, what a great privilege,” she continued. ‘I’ll be there to give advice. I will be there to help with policies that are important. I know that for me, obviously the legal profession and all the things that Pam Bondi is going to focus on are at the top of the agenda because of what we’ve been through over the last three and a half years.”

Bondi was Trump’s pick for attorney general after his nomination of former Rep. Matt Gaetz fell through.
Habba also revealed that she spoke with Conway before moving to Washington.
“Yes, I spoke to Kellyanne. Kellyanne reached out to me,” she said. ‘She was great. Big shoes to fill, but she was one of the first to reach out to me.”
“She was sweet,” the president’s new adviser added.
