In her divorce filing on December 22, Wong cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation.

Their separation date was listed as April 10, 2022, days before they publicly announced their separation.

The documents also revealed that Wong and Hakuta were in mediation to establish spousal support and classify their assets.

It was reported at the time that the two wanted to resolve their issues themselves.

The couple met at a friend’s wedding reception in 2010 and married in San Francisco in 2014.

In her 2016 Baby Cobra special on Netflix, Wong explained that when she learned Justin was a Harvard student and Fulbright scholar, she played hard to get.

“I thought, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to catch his ass.’ “I’m going to grab his ass!” And I initially grabbed his ass by not kissing him until the fifth date, which is a very unusual move on my part. But I did it on purpose, because I knew it was a catch,” he told a live audience.

In her book, Dear Girls: Intimate Tales Untold Secrets and Advice for Living Your Best Life, Wong credited the prenuptial agreement she signed before walking down the aisle as one of the secrets to her success.

“In the end, being forced to sign that prenuptial agreement was one of the best things that ever happened to me and my career.”

In February 2022, Wong referred to his marriage as “prison monogamy” in his comedy special Don Wong on Netflix.

Shortly after their split, Wong dated actor Bill Hader for a couple of months. The former Saturday Night Live cast member had recently ended his relationship with Anna Kendrick.

Wong and Hader reportedly broke up shortly after, but rekindled their romance when they were spotted kissing while walking in Los Angeles in April 2023.

Two days before the sighting, a rep for Hader confirmed to Page Six that he and Wong were back together.
