Alexandre Lacazette’s career at Arsenal is coming to an end as neither the player nor the club are interested in extending the Frenchman’s contract.
Marginalized by coach Mikel Arteta this season, Lacazette has yet to make a Premier League start, although he played 90 minutes and scored a penalty in Wednesday’s 3-0 win over AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup.
According to a report on 90min, Lacazette’s lack of playing time convinces him of the need to move on, while there is also little enthusiasm from the Arsenal hierarchy to offer the 30-year-old an extension to his current contract, which expires in June.

The report adds that former Lacazette club Lyon are interested in bringing the striker home but he could still stay in the Premier League and even London, with West Ham United and Crystal Palace also fond of it. on the Frenchman.
Lacazette became Arsenal’s record signing when he signed from Lyon in 2017 for £46.5million, but was able to leave in January for less than £10million as he wouldn’t be available for free until six months later.

There is also the prospect of Arsenal using Lacazette as currency to try and attract new players.
The Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo, based in Seville, has reported that Seville could be interested in Lacazette in exchange for prolific Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri.
En-Nesyri scored 18 LaLiga goals last season and also lit up the Champions League with six goals in eight appearances and just four starts.
Sevilla are on the brink of losing En-Nesyri for several weeks in January when the African Cup of Nations kicks off and could be open to selling the Moroccan to Mikel Arteta’s side for less than his reported £68m evaluation if they Lacazette in return.
