Ellidy Pullin is ready to start dating again, four years after the tragic death of her longtime partner, snowboarding champion Alex ‘Chumpy’ Pullin.
The 31-year-old, who had Chumpy’s two-year-old daughter Minnie Alex through incredible IVF and a posthumous sperm retrieval process, said she is “excited” to get back into the dating pool.
Talking to her close friend Chloe Fisher on her podcast Honey, shine!Ellidy said she would love to date a tradie but she’s not ready for anything serious yet.
“Absolutely open to dating, really excited about it, even though it’s a fucking jungle out there,” she said, laughing.
“It would be crazy to be walking through Woolworths and someone just picks up the same apple as me.”

She went on to say that while she’s eager to dive into the dating world “for a little fun,” she’s not ready “to bring someone into our lives as something serious.”
Ellidy said she has a very specific checklist of what she’s looking for in her next man.
“I just want to find that damn Tradie that’s nice, that we get along and that we have that chemistry.” Someone who likes adventure. ‘Who is willing to travel?’ he said.
Ellidy gave birth to Minnie in 2021 and named her after Chumpy, who died aged 32 when he drowned while spearfishing off the Gold Coast.

It comes after Ellidy spoke last week about life without Chumpy, raising her daughter Minnie and what her future will look like.
Ellidy said there is still some of her late partner’s sperm available if she wanted “another Chumpy bubba,” but she is considering other options.
“I see myself having a baby someday with someone else, maybe in five years, but I don’t really see myself getting married,” she told Gold Coast Newsletter.
Ellidy went on to say that while she’s not yet at the point where she wants to date someone long-term, she has had a few flings while on vacation.
