Alejandro Garnacho took advantage of a rare mistake by Manchester City to give Manchester United the lead in the FA Cup final.
Pep Guardiola’s men dominated much of the possession and limited United to just a few efforts in a cautious first 30 minutes.
Diogo Dalot played a long ball towards the edge of the City area and Josko Gvardiol shrugged off Garnacho before attempting to head a header past Stefan Ortega, who had already come off his line.
The Argentine winger stepped forward and guided the ball into the empty goal to put Erik ten Hag’s team ahead.
And fans were quick to react on social media, as some blamed Ortega for the confusion that led to the goal.

‘Why would you do that? It would have been an easy headbutt if she had stood her ground.

“Wtf is this goal. I thought I was watching the Saudi league,” said a third fan.
United doubled their lead in the 39th minute thanks to Kobbie Mainoo.
The midfielder finished from close range after a magnificent no-look pass from Bruno Fernandes.
