Alec Baldwin’s brother has joked that the star is willing to work outside the home so he can escape the “war zone” of domestic life with his wife Hilaria and their seven children.
William and Alec star together in the family movie Billie’s Magic World, which was filmed last spring in Italy.
He said that as soon as filming ended, the 65-year-old asked when the duo would return to another project.
Speaking at the Taormina Film Festival, William, 60, added that his brother would “be back soon” because he needs to “earn money to pay for his seven children.”

William said the last film was the first he and Alec worked on together.
“I did 30 Rock with him a couple of times, but he had never done a movie. So, it’s the first time we’ll be together on screen.
‘It was fun. We did two movies, not just one, Billie’s Wizarding World and Kid Santa. He had a great time.
‘As soon as he left, [Alec] was like, “Flame [director] francesco [Cinquemani]to ask when I’ll be back”.
That’s because he loves Francesco, but probably also because while we were here, he found out that his wife was pregnant with their seventh child.
‘So does he need to come here to get out of that war zone, or does he need to come here to earn money to pay for his seven children… You can do the math… He’ll be back soon.’
In the movie, Alec is the evil Lord Domino and William is his fellow child kidnapper. The movies are a combination of live action and animation.
Actor Johnny Depp, who has suffered a fall from grace perhaps comparable to Alec’s, provides the voice of the child heroine’s toy puffin.
Last week, Alec’s second wife, Hilaria, wished him a happy 11th wedding anniversary and hinted that she plans to add to their already large family.
As soon as filming wrapped, the 65-year-old (pictured right on the set of Mission Impossible Rogue Nation) asked when the duo would be back on another project.
Hilaria, 39, wrote on Instagram: “Happy 11th anniversary Jack,” referencing the name of Alec’s character on the sitcom. ‘Pre kids, I’d visit them at 30 rock and prank them with that closet hidden behind.
‘You didn’t have pants… then we had 7 children. Well, here are 11 more… years… maybe kids too… definitely cats.’ Baldwin commented: ’18 kids? 18? That’s not a baseball team. That’s a baseball game!
Alec also has a daughter, Ireland, from his first marriage to actress Kim Basinger.
In a June interview with Romper magazine, she said: “Every time I have a baby, my OB writes the vasectomy doctor on a Post-it and I take it home to Alec.” He hasn’t done it yet.
“Giving birth is like going down a water slide which is very scary. And then you hit rock bottom and you’re like, “I want to do this again.”
Their eldest daughter, Carmen, was born in 2013, followed by Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo and Eduardo, born in September 2020. María Lucía arrived via surrogate six months before their youngest daughter, Ilaria, was born in September 2022. .
In 2020 it emerged that Hilaria was born Hilary and raised in Boston by American parents, apparently having played into her ‘Spanish heritage’.
William, 60, added that his brother would “be back soon” because he needs to “earn money to pay for his seven children.”
She said on social media that she had a “real sense of belonging” to the American and Spanish cultures.
She continued: ‘The way I have spoken about myself and my deep connection to two cultures could have been better explained. I should have been clearer and I’m sorry.
Comedian Amy Schumer said in June: “They have a number of von Trapp children, and they named them all, I’m not sure, but very Spanish names like Jamón, Croqueta and Flamenco.”
And all of this would be fine and beautiful, except that “Hilaria from Spain” is actually Hillary from Boston. This woman is by no means Spanish.
His parents are not from Spain. No one in his life is from Spain. You’re going to say, “What?” Did you think he was just doing a really racist Spanish impression?
The films in Italy marked Alec’s second time on camera following the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film Rust in October 2021.
He made the 97 minute UK plane hostage film in February 2022. It opens this month.
William told the Taormina film festival: ‘It was very joyful, loving, positive. We were laughing all the time. It’s good to have that positive energy.’
All criminal charges against him for the fatal shooting have been dropped.
Prosecutors said they would continue to investigate and may re-file charges.
There are still at least five ongoing civil charges against Alec Baldwin and the producers of Rust.
