Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria showed their support for their local community in the Hamptons by attending a fundraiser at the East Hampton Library on Saturday.
The couple was in attendance at the East Hampton Library’s 20th Annual Authors Benefit Night at Herrick Park Field.
No fewer than 100 authors from all genres of writing are featured, which is usually a big hit with locals and makes it one of the most successful celebrations of books and authors in the US, according to the official website.
Set under a large tent, where tasty snacks and wine are on offer, attendees can wander around, meet and mingle with the authors, with the chance to dissect their writings and ultimately have the opportunity to purchase their signed books.
The event started at 5 p.m. Eastern Time, giving people three hours to get a feel for who and what was available at the venue.

At 8 o’clock, immediately after the Authors’ Reception, the guests dined in private homes in honor of one or more of the great authors.
Baldwin, 66, took the opportunity to help promote Adam Nagourney’s The Times: How the Newspaper of Record Survived Scandal, Scorn, and the Transformation of Journalism by holding it up for a photographer as he stood with his wife under the tent.

In keeping with the relaxed vibe, the author, entrepreneur and yoga instructor also donned flip-flops and sunglasses.
All proceeds from the event, including the $150 admission price and dinner offerings starting at $500, will benefit the East Hampton Library.

Alec’s departure comes nearly a month after the manslaughter charge against him was dismissed in New Mexico in connection with the 2021 death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the Western film Rust.
“There are too many people who have supported me to thank now,” Baldwin shared in his initial tearful reaction. “To all of you, you will never know how much I appreciate your kindness to my family.”
The case was dismissed when the judge agreed that prosecutor Kari Morrissey and Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza withheld evidence about the source of the live ammunition that killed Hutchins on the set.
Hutchins was killed when Baldwin pointed a gun at him while they were preparing to shoot on a film set near Santa Fe. The gun fired a live round inadvertently loaded by the film’s gunsmith, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed.
Gutierrez-Reed, who is serving an 18-month prison sentence, filed a motion to dismiss the charges in response to prosecutors’ failure to disclose evidence.

In photos obtained by DailyMail.com, the Baldwin children are seen cooking on an outdoor grill as Alec teaches one of them how to safely cut vegetables.
Her new reality series is scheduled to air on the TLC network sometime in 2025.
