Eden says all you need is an empty laundry basket that can be placed at the bottom of the hamper.
“The Aldi laundry basket is one of my favorite hacks that I use,” she begins the clip as she pulls an empty basket out of her car.
“All you have to do is bring a laundry basket with you and put it in the back of your cart,” the mom continued. “Then go shopping as normal, then ask the cashier to just put your groceries directly in the cart.”
In the 14-second clip, viewed more than 400,000 times, Eden is seen placing the empty basket at the bottom of the shopping cart.
According to the mom, this tip “allows you to avoid the whole bagging process.”
“I saw a video of this a few years ago and have been using it ever since!! » she wrote in the caption. “It makes my life so much easier. »
While life may be easier for this mother of three, many TikTok users claiming to be Aldi employees said they weren’t actually allowed to bag items – and Eden got lucky her local Aldi does it for her.
“DON’T DO THIS!” » urged one TikToker. “I worked at Aldi for years and this is a pet peeve for SO many employees. It slows us down. Just add it to the laundry basket afterwards.
“As an Aldi employee, we are not allowed to do this when screening people. So you got lucky with your store,” another added.

Eden did her shopping at Aldi as usual and the basket came in handy once she got to the bagging stage.

She promises it will make things easier once she gets home – although Aldi workers responded by saying not all of them were allowed to facilitate her hack.
“If you grab a box while you’re there, it’s the same thing except you don’t have to remember the basket,” one person pointed out.
For some, it was more of a hindrance than a hack.
“But it’s getting so heavy,” one buyer complained. “I lived on the third floor with no elevator and had to carry him up the stairs.”
But others were fans of the bagging movement.
“I leave the cart in my car, load my cart, check, put it back in the cart and unload it into the cart outside,” one said.
“Also as an Aldi worker I love it and if it’s too heavy that’s not my problem lol,” added another.
