This is not the first time that an Aldi customer would have found a live insect in any of their products.

Timothy Rock, of Dapto in NSW, claimed in January 2017 that he had just thrown in a new jar of Colway stringybark honey mustard that he bought from Aldi when he saw a magpie.

Mr Rock wrote on Facebook that he thought the larvae were dead when he first saw him, but it quickly started to spin.

A disgusting video he posted online shows the live mustard-covered animal sliding around on a counter and leaving a slimy trail from the condiment.
