Shoppers are rushing to Aldi Australia to stock up on American chocolate, candy, snacks and sauces.
The German-owned supermarket chain launched the selection in its stores last week in the central “Special Buys” aisle.
Maraya, who runs the website ‘Stuff Mums Like’, stumbled upon the snacks and posted a series of images on Facebook.
“It’s American Food Week at Aldi! There are so many fun treats to try. It would be so fun to host an American Food Night with your kids so they can try things they’ve only seen in books and on TV,” she wrote.
‘I got some Hershey Kisses to use on the elves (a little pre-planning).’
Customers can purchase Reese’s, Twinkies, Pop Tarts, Jelly Belly candies, Twizzlers, Butterfinger candy bars, Baby Ruth candy bars, Hershey’s Cookies n Creme chocolate and pretzels, Junior Caramels, Milk Duds and a Smores kit.
A variety of condiments are also offered, including Sweet Baby Ray’s Hickory Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce, Jack Link’s Beef Jerky, Stubb’s Smoked Mesquite BBQ Sauce, French’s Classic Yellow Mustard and Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce.
Many were excited about the latest deal and were eager to visit their local Aldi to pick up the treats.

Maraya, who runs the website ‘Stuff Mums Like’, came across the snacks and posted a series of pictures on Facebook. While many were excited, others didn’t understand what all the fuss was about.
“I have to go to Aldi tomorrow,” wrote one.
“I need to get some Twinkies, they always advertised them in comics when I was a kid and I always wanted to try one,” said another.
“Thanks for posting! This quickly satisfied my youngest son’s request for marshmallows for camping next week,” added a third.
But others weren’t as enthusiastic because they’re not fans of American snacks.
“OMG that Hershey chocolate is so disgusting it’s not even edible in my honest opinion. Haigh is the winner,” said one.
There were also Oreos and Twinkies in the center ‘Special Buys’ aisle.
Customers can also get American sauces and Thins, but stock is limited.
“Hershey’s chocolate is a total disappointment for us Brits. Honestly, it tastes like cheap cooking chocolate. I wasn’t impressed at all when I first tried it in New York,” wrote another.
A third said: “I wouldn’t buy any American lollipops for kids, that rubbish and all the colouring they put in them is very bad for your health.”
Another claimed that The Reject Shop sells American snacks year-round.
Last month, Aldi launched a range of snacks in the UK that has left shoppers stunned.
Natalia from Sydney came across the products in a recent store and couldn’t believe her eyes.
“I’m actually going to cry,” she said in a video while holding a packet of Smith’s Prawn Cocktail crisps, a sub-brand of Walkers.
‘My parents are in England at the moment and they are bringing some packages… now I have more and I am very happy about it.’
Natalia was also excited about the cheese and pickles, and the Worcestershire sauce-flavoured crisps. Customers can also get bags of Galaxy Minstrels and Little Rolo chocolate.
