A whiskey sold at Dan Murphy’s and other liquor stores across the country has been urgently recalled.

Screwball’s whiskey-and-peanut butter-flavored liqueur has been recalled due to an undeclared allergen.

The 750ml and 50ml varieties were found to contain sesame and customers with allergies or intolerances could have an adverse reaction.

There are no specific recall dates as all batches are affected.

The bottles were sold in Dan Murphy’s, BWS, independent liquor stores (including IGA) and local outlets.

“Consumers who have an allergy or intolerance to sesame should not consume the product,” Food Standards Australia said.

‘Any consumer concerned about their health should seek medical advice.’
