The comedian, 45, joked that he is “always drunk” while on the road because people queue up drinks for him, during a Friday performance of This Morning.

Alan Carr’s Chatty Man saw him have a drink with each of his guests, from a cart full of booze standing next to his sofa in the chat show.
To which Alison replied, ‘So you’re always drunk’ and Alan said, ‘Yeah! And I love it.’
Despite enjoying a drink while on tour, Alan revealed last month that he had to take months off the booze to help his husband Paul Drayton battle his alcohol addiction.

Paul is currently receiving help from professionals after falling off the car over the summer and injuring his face.
Alan revealed that he recently took six months off, spanning Christmas and New Years, to support his partner Paul.
“It was the worst Christmas I’ve ever had. And my mom didn’t help by offering him a Bailey’s and saying, “It’s just Bailey’s — what’s the worst that could happen!”‘ Alan said.

Alan revealed he ended up transporting drunken family and friends in his home town of Northampton, adding: ‘I walked into a pub and the DJ clocked me and yelled over the microphone ‘Alan Carr everyone, Northampton’s favorite son!’ I told him I wasn’t even my father’s favorite son!’
And he told an audience in Leeds watching his stand-up routine: ‘Paul is getting the help he needs.’
Paul, 50, once revealed that he went 650 days without a drink in his ongoing battle with the bottle.

But Alan later explained how the lockdown had tested Paul’s determination.
And succumbed to his demons in August, causing concern among fans and friends when he posted a photo of himself with a shiner on social media.
He later clarified the situation by revealing that he punched himself in the face during a bow and confirmed that the comic hadn’t put a finger on him.
Last year he proudly posted about his alcohol-free milestone.
He wrote: ‘650 DAYS!!! At moments like this we all like to drink a glass! Trust me, I’m really tempted to have a few.
‘If only to relieve the damn boredom! I wake up the next day so thankful I didn’t. Try to allow yourself 2-3 dry days in these oppressive times!

But a year ago, Alan revealed Paul’s ongoing struggle to stay sober.
They married in 2018 and Paul went to rehab the same year to get sober.
Alan said: ‘It’s been tough for Paul during the lockdown. He has said, ‘Oh, shall we get a bottle?’ and I say, “No, we’re not getting any rosé wine.”
“He’s been so good and I’m so proud of him.”
