An Alabama woman was arrested after she allegedly went too far in an attempt to defend her child from their suspected bully.

Nannatt Waldrop, 37, is charged with boarding a yellow bus in the town of Center Point at 7:18 a.m. Tuesday morning and arguing with the 11-year-old who, according to Jefferson County, was bullying her child. Sheriff’s Department.

A video of the scrap went viral and brought it to the attention of authorities, who arrested Waldrop.

It is not known if the child suffered any injuries.

Jefferson County Schools Superintendent, Dr. Walter Gonsoulin, said the incident was “unacceptable” and added that “it will not be tolerated,” the spokesman said. NBC 15.

“While this is now a law enforcement issue, I just want to say that what I saw in that video deeply disturbs me,” he continued. ‘Violence is not acceptable at any time, especially against students.’

Waldrop is charged with third-degree assault, boarding a school bus and disorderly conduct. Her bonds total $10,500.

Gonsoulin added that adults who are not school staff will not be allowed on the buses and administrators are assessing the situation.
