Al-Ittihad are focused on a deal for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante as they close in on signing Karim Benzema.
Benzema is expected to sign for Al-Ittihad after it was confirmed he was leaving Real Madrid.
Kante could join his former France teammate Benzema at the Saudi club, according to journalist Rudi Galetti.
Kante, 32, has just one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
It remains to be seen whether he will be part of the plans of new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The report says talks between Al-Ittihad and Kante’s camp started a few days ago and the aim is to reach an agreement as soon as possible.
With Cristiano Ronaldo already at Al-Nassr, other stars could head to Saudi Arabia this summer. Lionel Messi, for example, is expected to sign for Al-Hilal.
Al-Ittihad, who are managed by former Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo, won the Saudi Pro League this season at the expense of Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
Kante has only made seven Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season as he has been badly hit by injuries.
There will likely be a significant overhaul to Chelsea’s squad in Pochettino’s first summer in charge.
Kante signed for Chelsea from Leicester in 2016 and has played 269 times for the Blues, scoring 13 goals.
He won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League at the club.
