In a heartbreaking interview with 7NEWS Spotlight, Rochester said she faced immense pressure to be thin during her time as host of The Biggest Loser, which often led to unhealthy eating habits.

‘The pressure was on to lose those extra kilos. When I was presenting Biggest Loser, the lightest I lost was 70 kilos and I didn’t eat, I didn’t eat,’ she explained.

‘I was an emaciated doll who apparently wasn’t thin enough yet. Do you see this photo? I actually thought I was fat there because they told me I was too fat for designers to dress me.

‘I’m not healthy there, but I’m thin. Apparently it’s not thin enough.

Rochester said doctors gave him dangerous medical advice at the time.

“Oh, even doctors constantly tell you, ‘Oh, it’s just eat less and move more.’ If you knew how much less I ate and how much more I moved and still couldn’t lose weight, that would be a stupid prescription,” he said.

Rochester said she has often been publicly humiliated for her weight and once had a milkshake thrown at her in the street.

“I mean, people have thrown things at me in the street, like when they once threw a milkshake at me in Sydney, and these guys, ‘yeah, fat pig.’ And he threw a milkshake at me as I walked by,” he explained.
