The Las Vegas Aces won their fourth straight game on Saturday with an 88–77 victory over the Washington Mystics. However, a WNBA record-breaking streak came to an end during the win.

A’ja Wilson scored a season-low 11 points, snapping her streak of consecutive 20-point games. She entered Saturday’s game with 20 or more goals in 20 straight games. The previous record for consecutive 20-point games was 13, set by Phoenix Mercury’s Diana Taurasi between the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

Wilson’s streak dates back to last season (August 28, 2023 against the New York Liberty, to be exact) and the final five games of the 2023 schedule. He scored 20 or more points in the Aces’ previous 15 games this anus.

The streak included eight 30-point efforts with Wilson twice scoring 36 (on September 10 against Phoenix and on June 5 against Dallas).

Wilson leads the WNBA with averages of 28 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game.

In Saturday’s win over the Mystics, Jackie Young led the Aces with 26 points on 8-of-12 shooting (3-of-6 on 3-pointers). Chelsea Gray shot 8-of-9 from the field (3-of-3 on 3-pointers), scoring 22 points. Wilson added nine rebounds and five assists.

With her third rebound, Wilson also surpassed Sophia Malcolm-Young to become The all-time leader of the Aces. (1,815) in that category.
