Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson has been named the WNBA’s Most Valuable Player for the 2024 season.
The 28-year-old forward has won the award for the third time, having been crowned MVP in 2020 and 2022.
After receiving a unanimous vote, Wilson joins Cynthia Cooper-Dyke as the second player to sweep the vote.
Wilson also joins an elite team featuring Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie and Lauren Jackson as the only players to back up three MVP awards, the most in the league’s young history.
His achievement also placed the Aces franchise in fourth place among teams with the most MVP wins. The Los Angeles Sparks lead the list, followed by the Houston Comets and the Seattle Storm, with six, five and four MVPs, respectively.
