Jordan De Goey’s partner Aisha Jade McKinnon has insisted her partner is not a “bad boy”.
Speaking in an interview with The Herald of the Sunthe reality star claimed De Goey’s reputation among some members of the AFL was “sad” and did not reflect his true personality.
The 28-year-old soccer star has been in the spotlight before, most notably after he was arrested in New York in 2021 following an incident at a nightclub.
He ended up spending the night in a cell at a Manhattan police station. De Goey has also been criticized for his off-field antics at a Bali nightclub in 2022, and a video emerged of him exposing a woman’s breast.
Last year, the soccer star claimed he was taking steps during the 2023 offseason to “stay out of trouble” and focus on his football.
Collingwood had also reportedly attempted to add several behavior-based clauses to his contract, which had initially been a sticking point for the midfielder before signing a new five-year deal with the Magpies in 2022.

McKinnon has now come to his teammate’s defense, claiming his reputation among some in the football world is unfair.
“It’s sad because I know a very different Jordy,” he told The Herald Sun.
Revealing the couple are “very happy” together, she added: “He’s really lovely.” We definitely value our privacy, we connect on that and we both have unique jobs and support each other.”
Former Big Brother star and fashion designer McKinnon also delved into how she met the football star.
“We met the old-fashioned Instagram way (by message),” McKinnon said, and the couple bought a farm in Victoria.
‘He was lovely and we were like pen pals until we met. We’re getting our hands dirty on the farm, transforming it and having fun.’
Last season, De Goey scored 10 goals in 13 league games for the Magpies, following a campaign blighted by injuries.
