The newest Star Wars series on Disney+, Ahsokadelivered a significant viewing audience during its opening week. To take continued its summer-long run as the highest overall title.
The first two episodes of Ahsoka, starring Rosario Dawson as the title character, had 829 million viewing minutes in the United States during the week of August 21–27. With a total running time of 100 minutes across the two parts, that equates to approximately 8.29 million full-length viewings of the two. (Disney+ said the first episode generated the equivalent of 14 million complete plays worldwide in its first five days alone.)
Ahsokas 829 million viewing minutes are second only to Disney+ Star Wars shows for their series premiere weeks, behind the 1.03 billion ahead Obi Wan Kenobi in May 2022. It was the No. 2 original series of the week after Netflix’s UK import Who is Erin Carter?, which generated 1.04 billion viewing minutes. New seasons of The ultimatum And Ragnarok on Netflix also pushed those two back into the top 10 originals.
To take was the top title overall for the tenth week in a row with 2.66 billion viewing minutes – just a 6 percent drop from the previous week. Children’s favorite Bluish (1.03 billion minutes on Disney+) also topped the billion-minute mark for the seventh week in a row, despite many of its core viewers returning to school in late August.
Nielsen’s streaming ratings reflect viewing on TV sets only and do not include minutes watched on computers or mobile devices. The ratings only measure the American audience, not those in other countries. The best streaming titles for August 21-27 are below.
