Three Chinese astronauts returned safely to Earth after completing a space mission at the Chinese space station, which was described as “successful”, state media reported Sunday.
The copper capsule of the Shenju-15 spacecraft landed in the north of the country, specifically in Inner Mongolia, according to Xinhua News Agency.
The agency confirmed that Fei Junlong, Deng Qingming, and Zhang Lu had exited the capsule “in good health,” noting that the mission had been “completely successful.”
Footage broadcast by state media showed doctors dressed in white wrapping the astronauts in blue blankets.
The three astronauts spent six months at the Tiangong space station, completing missions including space walks and various experiments.
Last week, China sent three astronauts, including a civilian, to the Tiangong station for the first time in its history, as part of the Shenju-16 mission.
