‘Extras were difficult, because the ambition was greater. But then again it’s easy to explore the narcissism and ego of actors and actresses … So I’d say After Life [is the hardest]. ‘

And Ricky’s longtime partner Jane Fallon recently shared that Ricky is more often at home amid the coronavirus.

The author, 60, said of Lorraine, ‘It’s been a little more difficult at times with Ricky at home, because he’s a bit noisy.

‘I’ve always been a little cut off from the world [while writing]. I always knew we would get another cat because I don’t live without an animal in the house.

‘Pickle [their new cat] is beautiful and the happiest little thing. She’s huge, a real sweetheart. She is four and is off to a terrible start in life. When I’m at work, she comes to sleep on my laptop. She has done very well with us. We raised her. ‘
