A family in North Carolina was reunited with their cat Blanco more than a week after they “lost everything” to Hurricane Helene.
The Collins family was stunned to find their cat Blanco alive after he floated off their neighbor’s rooftop in Burnsville eight days earlier.
Camille Collins said the trip home to her beloved feline was like a ‘Homeward Bound’ movie while speaking with fox and friends Tuesday.
“This cat had to use his nine lives because he came to us as a stray dog,” Camille said during her interview.
‘He’s just the whole family’s pet. It’s the kind of pet that goes on a hike with you.
The Collins family was reunited with Blanco eight days after he floated away on a rooftop during Hurricane Helene.

Blanco entered the family’s lives earlier this year after Camille found him in a compost bin last June, according to Facebook. mail.
All the family members nursed him back to health and then decided to adopt him.
Camille’s mother-in-law Nan recalled the incident when Blanco disappeared into the flood waters.
“White goes up on that distribution line you see and watches them try to climb up on the metal roof,” Nan said on Fox & Friends.
He added that Blanco ended up ‘down in the river,’ which was actually the ocean and was the last time they saw Blanco until he floated back to the family.
The owners have been monitoring Blanco closely since their Oct. 6 meeting as they believe he has ingested water and has an eye infection.
Blanco has since received antibiotics.

“The flood waters were even over 500-year levels, at least ten feet, and everything we own is in ruins behind us,” David Collins, Camille’s husband, told Fox & Friends.
“Neighbors’ houses that had been there since the 1920s were gone, and we actually lost almost everything we owned.”
Before Helene, the family lived in a converted bus that, along with family members’ RVs, “was washed away by the river,” according to relatives. GoFundMe page.
The Collinses also lost their garden, flowers, bees and “all their labor of love.”

Funds from Collins’ GoFundMe page will be used to rebuild and create a new home for the family.
Camille and family friend Sarah Min organized the page in David’s name and the goal is to raise at least $50,000.
More than 280 donors have donated money to the Collins family and raised more than $30,000.
