Devastated friends and family paid tribute to AFL wife Anna Green, who died on Monday.

The 40-year-old wife of former Melbourne Demons star Brad Green suffered a heart attack last week after complications from eye surgery three weeks ago.

She died peacefully surrounded by her husband and their two young sons at the hospital in Melbourne.
