AFL star Harry Himmelberg has married his partner, Taylia Sarris.

The couple tied the knot in a low-key ceremony at a Melbourne wedding registry.

The 28-year-old GWS Giants defenseman, who is expecting his first child with Sarris in December, made their partnership official on Saturday.

Former teammate and current Tigers midfielder Tim Taranto and teammate Tash Hoole served as witnesses at the wedding.

Himmelberg looked elegant in beige pants and a crisp white T-shirt, while his fashion designer wife wore a white corset and skirt for the occasion.

The newlyweds continued their celebration at the exclusive restaurant Entrecôte in Prahran.

Himmelberg and Sarris got engaged last year and are planning a proper wedding celebration with family, friends and their young daughter in 2025.

The couple had planned to begin their parenting journey shortly after getting engaged in Paris last year, however, Sarris suffered two miscarriages, including one just before her third pregnancy.

Taylia, content creator and fashion stylist, told the Herald Sun She is anxious for the birth of her daughter.

“The whole process is quite scary, until she is born and we can hug her, I don’t think the anxiety goes away because you never know what can happen,” she said.

Harry told the publication that the “stigma” around miscarriage is still very prominent and being told by doctors that it is quite common “put them at ease” throughout the heartbreaking process.

‘That was difficult because you think this is not normal or you panic. There are people much worse than us and getting pregnant is a blessing,’ she said.

According to the Royal Australian Women’s Hospital, up to one in five women will miscarry before 20 weeks. Although the real number is likely higher, including women who have abortions without knowing they are pregnant.

Taylia and Harry announced their pregnancy on Instagram three months ago, sharing a touching video of a gender reveal in which their two dogs ate a cake made especially to reveal pink frosting inside.

The soccer star’s face lit up with a wide smile when he learned that he would soon be the father of a baby girl and he leaned over to hug and kiss Taylia on the couch at home.

The brunette beauty was overcome with emotion and sobbed as she collapsed into his arms with relief and joy.

“Two becomes three,” she captioned the video, which also included a snapshot of an ultrasound.

It comes a year after Harry got down on one knee during a rainy night in Paris to pop the question against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower.
