AFL star Charlie Cameron has married his long-term partner Caitlin Seeto.

The couple, who announced their engagement last year, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in southeast Queensland.

The Brisbane Lions forward, 30, married Caitlin at The Valley Estate in Currumbin, on the Queensland-New South Wales border, on Saturday.

Caitlin, who has built an impressive legal career as a lawyer, stunned in a classic silk wedding dress, with a lace-embellished train adorned with sparkling jewels.

She wore her dark hair down and straight as she posed with her friends at the foot of some stairs in the place.

Charlie also opted for a classic outfit, looking dapper in a black and white tuxedo with a black bow tie.

The couple made a bold entrance to their reception, dancing atop a mezzanine at the wedding venue.

The crowd went wild as the newlyweds celebrated each other, before Charlie romantically twirled Caitlin and dunked her.

The couple shared a kiss on the balcony before starting the party.

Charlie’s Lions teammates, including Lachie Neale, along with Carlton’s Mitch McGovern and Adelaide’s Brodie Smith, were among those who attended the happy couple’s special day.

Friends and teammates shared moments from the lavish event, complete with a seated dinner illuminated by elaborate chandeliers.

The celebration comes just weeks after Charlie was attacked online for ignoring a young football fan who tried to shake his hand after he presented him with a premiership medal.

While his Grand Final-winning teammates took the time to recognize the Auskick children who put the awards around their necks, Cameron completely ignored the youngster and instead celebrated for the crowd.

Some boos were heard at the MCG as fans noticed the brutal snub on the big screen, with football fans quick to criticize the 30-year-old striker on social media.

‘Charlie Cameron chasing the boy. Ban the country road,” one wrote, referring to the John Denver song that plays when Cameron scores a goal on the team’s field.

“It’s pretty embarrassing that the @brisbanelions guy handing out the caps has to remind all the players to shake hands with the kids and of course Charlie Cameron is the only one who doesn’t,” added another.

‘The guy who handed out the caps to the Lions players was BOG (best on the ground). Unfortunately, Charlie Cameron let him down. Exit interview is imminent,” wrote a third.

“It’s so upsetting for the kid who gave his medal to the 23rd player, Charlie Cameron, that Charlie didn’t shake his hand and the player was so emotional.” Don’t they tell you what to do with the medal? Another angry fan commented.

‘Forget Oscar McInerney, the real tragedy is the girl who went to shake Charlie Cameron’s hand and was snubbed. Flog,” one fan wrote, referring to Lions ruckman McInerney, who missed the game due to injury.
