The AFL has approached Australian pop queen Kylie Minogue to perform at this year’s grand final.
According to 7NEWSthe AFL remains hopeful of landing the Melbourne singer in September, despite being told ‘thanks, but no thanks’ when they initially approached her camp.
The identity of the main music act of the AFL Grand Finals usually gets fans excited, with Robbie Williams stealing the show in 2022.
His performance thrilled the 100,000 strong crowd, while fans at home were equally pleased and flooded Twitter with praise for the AFL’s choice to recruit the international superstar.
And now AFL bosses want to follow up on another big name and hope to seduce Minogue, 55, in September.

She will release a new album on September 22, a week before the grand final, so there could be a chance to promote the record on the biggest stage in Australia.

Other international artists playing in the grand final include Sir Tom Jones (2014), The Killers (2017), Ed Sheeran (2014) and the Black Eyed Peas (2018).
