AFL announces that the season will restart on June 11 and that players will train again on Monday
The AFL has confirmed that the 2020 season will restart on June 11.
AFL chief Gillon McLachlan made the announcement on Friday.
Players will train again on Monday, with full contact training starting May 25.
Mr. McLachlan said that each player will be tested for COVID-19 at least 24 hours before each session and twice a week.
The AFL season would begin on March 19 with up to 100,000 accumulation in the MCG for Richmond’s collision with Carlton, but it was postponed due to the corona virus pandemic.
