An Afghan migrant who killed his 15-year-old German ex-girlfriend has been hanged in his prison cell.
The man, who was only identified as Abdul Mobin D due to German privacy legislation, was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison last September for the death mark of former partner Mia V.
Prosecutors said that his body was found early in Thursday in a juvenile detention center in Schifferstadt and it seems that he had strangled himself.

Frankenthal Senior Attorney Hubert Ströber told Bild that there are no indications of outside influence, but added that investigations are still ongoing because no suicide letter was found.
Abdul admitted that he had put his ex, identified only as Mia V, in a drugstore in the town of Kandel on December 27, 2017.
The attacker was overwhelmed by witnesses who stopped him until the police arrived.
Prosecutors believe that Abdul, who said he was from Afghanistan, acted with envy after the girl broke up with him.
In addition to his nationality, doubts were expressed about his age, which he said was 15 at the time of the crime.

An expert estimated him between 17 and a half to 20, but given the uncertainty, the proceedings were held behind closed doors and under juvenile penal rules.
Abdul arrived in the German state of Hessen in April 2016 as an unaccompanied refugee and told the authorities that he was 15 years old.
His asylum application was rejected in February 2017, but he was not deported immediately.
Abdul and Mia V reportedly had a relationship that lasted several months, but she broke up with him in early December after he & # 39; jealous and mean & # 39; had become.
The victim's father, David V, said he and his family initially welcomed Abdul as & # 39; a son & # 39; if & # 39; otherwise he would not have had anyone & # 39; but added that he always doubted his age.
& # 39; He is never 15 years old in a million years. We hope that through the procedure (age test) we will now know his true age, & he said.
After the end of the relationship, Abdul is said to have stalked and threatened Mia V, with her parents filing a complaint and accusing the Afghan state of insults, threats, and coercion.
Extreme right-wing demonstrators in Chemnitz in ex-communist East Germany after the alleged fatal stabbing of a German man by two immigrants from Iraq and Syria
The murders of Mia V and Daniel Hillig were seized by the extreme right in his campaign against migrants
On the morning of the fatal stabbing, police officers had informed the asylum seeker of the prosecution of the harassment.
Despite the doubts about the age of many migrants entering the country, German doctors have resisted calls for medical tests, which it described as unethical.
The case is one in a series of high-profile crimes allegedly committed by asylum seekers who have fueled the anger of the population against the newcomers.
This in turn put pressure on Chancellor Angela Merkel about her liberal refugee policy, which in 2015 alone more than a million migrants entered the country.
