Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer rejoined the rock band after taking legal action against the group.
The 69-year-old joined the podium on Monday evening with fellow members Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford for their Deuces are Wild tour.
In video posted on Aerosmith’s Instagram stories, Kramer could be seen drumming while lead singer Tyler, 71, slid across the stage, threw his hat in the air and started singing into the microphone.

The native New Yorker Kramer wore a black tank top with a row of stars pressed over the collar while he was playing.
The show – which was held at MGM Resorts – comes just a few weeks after the drummer filed a lawsuit in Massachusetts, claiming that his fellow band members did not allow him to rejoin the group after a recent temporary disability.
Kramer, after minor injuries in the spring of 2019, claimed that when he was ready to return, Aerosmith asked him to audition to prove that he “could play at an appropriate level” despite the fact that other band members never auditioned had to do after an absence.
And when the Bronx, born in New York, finally audited earlier this month, Aerosmith did not allow him to return.
Last month, Joey was not the drummer on stage when the band performed at the MusiCares award event – even though he came on stage to accept the trophy when the band was named MusiCares Person of the Year.

He was also not allowed to perform with Aerosmith at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
In an earlier statement to TMZ from Aerosmith, the band said: “Given its decisions [to bring a lawsuit against the band] unfortunately he cannot perform, but of course we have invited him to be with us for both the Grammy and our MusiCares honor. We are much more connected than our time on stage. ”
Kramer is credited with coming up with the name of the band two years before it was founded in 1970 in Boston.
However, the band now mentions the fact that Kramer does not have enough time to rehearse with the band in preparation for these major performances.

“Being forbidden to play with a band that I have given 50 years of my life is more than devastating. This is not about money. I get the chance to be recognized with my colleagues for our collective, lifelong contributions to the music industry. Neither the MusiCares “Person of the Year Award, nor the Lifetime Achievement awards of the Grammy can ever be repeated,” Kramer told TMZ.
“I hope our fans can understand that all I am trying to do is go back to playing with the band they love – and that is Aerosmith with all five original members. The greatest magic and success of Aerosmith happens when all the founders of the band are in the house together, “he continued.
He concluded: “To be removed from my rightful place on the stage to celebrate our success – a success that recognizes my own life’s work is simply wrong.”
That is not Joey: although Kramer gave a brief acceptance speech after Tyler concluded, he was not allowed to play with them on stage during the event; Tyler and Perry seen here with a replacement drummer
Kramer’s legal team asked a judge to allow him to rehearse with Aerosmith.
At the time, however, that request was rejected, although the band seems to have solved their problems internally.
Aerosmith has an ongoing Deuces Are Wild concert residence in Las Vegas that ends on June 4.
