Leonardo DiCaprio has finally completed extensive renovations to his sprawling Hollywood Hills compound, just in time for his 50th birthday, new aerial photos obtained by DailyMail.com show.
The Oscar winner, worth an estimated $300 million, has been building his wealth since purchasing the 4,500-square-foot hilltop property for $2.5 million more than two decades ago.
The eco-warrior has been renovating the property in recent years to bring it up to his green standards and these new images show how everything has come together, albeit presumably at great cost.
Throughout the property you can see a large number of cactus plants, favored by environmentalists because they require very little water, along with other drought-resistant plants and a very small lawn. The roof has been decorated with ecological solar panels.
Leonardo DiCaprio has finally completed the renovation of his multimillion-dollar Los Angeles compound after years of extensive work and remodeling.
The Oscar winner has been building his estate since he bought the main house, a 4,500-square-foot hilltop property, for $2.5 million more than two decades ago.
Leo also has a personal spa at the base of his home, built into the hill, featuring a sunken hot tub built into the pool, a private one-person sauna, and relaxing cedar wood chairs.
It also has a large telescope at the end of its pool to enjoy views of the city and surrounding landscape.
A huge fire pit with sunken built-in seating can be seen around it, along with loungers, parasols and a luxurious custom king-sized chaise lounge, perfect for entertaining guests and his current girlfriend, 26-year-old Italian model Vittoria Ceretti.
Other eye-catching features include a personal combination basketball and tennis court.
The aerials also reveal how neighbor Keanu Reeves is vandalizing and renovating his own pool, right after Leo has just completed repairs to his own pool.
The multimillion-dollar four-home complex features 12,530 square feet, five bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, a screening room, a wine cellar and a spa.
He first bought the main house for $2.5 million more than two decades ago, which was sold as a 4,500-square-foot hilltop home in the Bird Streets neighborhood.
The Oscar winner, whose net worth is estimated at $300 million, turned 50 on Monday and celebrated his birthday with his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti at a star-studded party over the weekend.
Leo bought the residence, which is next door to fellow Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves, more than two decades ago for $2.5 million and also acquired several properties on the same hill.
The famous eco-warrior has adorned the roof of his main residence with solar panels.
Leo continued to expand the property, acquiring a nearby 3,500-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-bathroom home, which belonged to his former neighbors, Ron and Joan Linclau, with whom he feuded over a basketball court, for $10.5 million in December 2022.
The house, built in 1963, was never publicly listed for sale, and the property was located on the north line of its complex. It has a swimming pool and a guest house.
DiCaprio reportedly used his cousin Robert Hrtica’s limited liability company to purchase the house.
In 2007, the Linclauses filed a lawsuit alleging that the basketball court Leo had built on their property “destabilized and caused significant structural damage to their property.”
DiCaprio argued that the problems were caused by an illegal retaining wall that the Linclauses had installed.
The lawsuit would later be settled out of court and the Linclauses and the actor would continue to be next-door neighbors.
Last year, Joan died at age 90 and her widower Ron sold the house to DiCaprio.
The 2003 purchase was a four-bedroom, six-bathroom place, then 15 years later in 2018, The Revenant star snapped up the adjacent four-bedroom, four-bathroom mansion for $4,850,000.
Previous property photos show that the actor has transformed his dual basketball and tennis courts from their original green color to a neutral gray.
The luxurious infinity pool and sunbathing area have also been renovated, with the addition of a large telescope (right) at the edge of the terrace so he and his guests can enjoy views of the city and surrounding landscape .
Throughout the property you can see a large number of cactus plants, favored by environmentalists because they require very little water.
The actor may have added a fifth property to the complex after Scream producer Andrew Rona put another three-bedroom property on the market for $5.35 million.
The home, which boasts stunning views, also features a separate guest unit with full bathroom situated above the garage, completing the meticulously designed property.
Their complex now consists of five parcels of land with four properties, totaling more than five acres, 15 bedrooms and 15,000 square feet of living space.
The Titanic star is quite the real estate magnate. In addition to his compound, he owns homes in California, Manhattan and a private island in Belize.
In May 2021, DiCaprio went beyond the asking price to purchase Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s Spanish Colonial home in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles for $7.1 million.
The Modern Family star and her husband Justin Mikita had previously set the original asking price at $6.995 million in March, according to Dirt.

This is DiCaprio’s second home in Los Feliz after he purchased another 1920s home from Moby in 2018 for $4.9 million.
The Killers Of The Flower Moon star reportedly added the home to her collection to make it available to family members as she will be staying at her three-home property in the exclusive Bird Streets area above the Sunset Strip.
DiCaprio’s new home was apparently in high demand, after it surpassed the initial asking price of $6.995 million.
It’s also a substantial win for Ferguson, who only paid $4.6 million when he originally bought it in 2013.
The house was built in 1928 and has four bedrooms and four bathrooms spread across 5,000 square feet.
His previous Los Feliz acquisition, a 1920s Tudor-style home he purchased from Moby in 2018, is currently occupied by the actor’s father, George DiCaprio.
He also owns oceanside property, a vacant lot in Paradise Cove in Malibu, which he purchased for $23 million.
The Wolf of Wall Street star also has a luxurious desert retreat in Palm Springs, where he likes to visit his famous friends.
DiCaprio lives on both coasts and also maintains several high-priced condos in Manhattan.
