In 2021, she told the Daily Mail: “I always wanted to date a long-legged skater.”
Adwoa announced her pregnancy with her first child by appearing at this year’s Met Gala with a baby bump.
The Top Boy star drew attention to her burgeoning baby bump in a red balloon skirt and matching crop top for the glitzy fashion night in New York City.
Instead of donning a big-budget designer dress, Adwoa took inspiration from an iconic high street brand, as she showed off her baby bump in a red ruffled crop top from H&M.
The top was composed of a deep red silk organza layer, with petal-like tulle ruffles, over a delicately beaded embroidered bralette.
Adwoa’s look was paired with a voluminous bubble hem skirt in red silk taffeta, giving an effortless modern touch to this charming confection.
Speaking about her choice of outfit, Adwoa said: ‘My look at the Met Gala is always very instinctive.
“I love staying focused, but I always want to feel completely like myself and have the confidence to stand out from the rest.”
The beauty added: “We created a look to mark a very special moment in my life.”
She joked with Harper’s Bazaar just days before the event: “I’m going to do my Rihanna coming out moment, whatever that looks like… and then I’ll probably go back into hiding.”

Adwoa later told the publication: “I wanted to feel better and it’s hard when you literally have no control over your body and the way it moves and grows and does its thing.”
‘I did a lot of research on pregnant women on the red carpet. Obviously, we have people like Rihanna, who did it in an incredible way. “Sienna (Miller) was also a great reference for me.”
The actress has been open about her difficult past and problems with alcohol and drugs, and previously told how she tried marijuana for the first time at the age of 14 after getting drunk at a house party.
From then on, she began using harder drugs, trying both cocaine and ketamine, the latter being the drug that “really got her.”
Last year, Adwoa revealed that she was “pushed to tear myself apart and put it all back together” while in a treatment center for her drug addiction.
She added that she is “lucky” to be sober and go to treatment, as it forced her to confront herself and her addiction issues.
Speaking on the Reign With Josh Smith podcast for World Mental Health Day, she said: “I was lucky enough to go into treatment so I met a wide variety of people who had been through all sorts of different things.”
“It drives you crazy when you’re forced to really face yourself. In fact, I’m very lucky. A lot of sober people say that. I think I’m very lucky to have been forced to face it now.
‘They pushed me to separate any judgment I had towards other people. I put pressure on myself to tear myself apart and put it all back together so I could see things a little differently.
‘Even though it sucked, I’m very lucky to be honest because I’ve been given the opportunity to do things differently and see situations in a more empathetic way, actually.’

Adwoa wants to use her platform to raise awareness about mental health and admitted: “I have resigned myself to the fact that life is so complicated and the journey to mental health couldn’t be more linear.”
“So the fact is that it ebbs and flows and we find ways to deal with things and then we deal with something else, whether it’s pain or identity or love or sex, it’s endless.
“I think because our stories change and evolve, and we grow, our perspective on things changes, and it’s so crazy that you can look at a situation that happened a few years ago and then, with some age and wisdom, suddenly reframe it.” and you say, “Okay, maybe it was my fault.”
‘Or maybe there are different ways we can see things, I think that definitely comes with age. “I really started to set those boundaries and know what is good for me and what is not good for me.”
