An out-of-control bushfire in Perth’s south is threatening people at an ice skating rink and theme park.

An emergency warning has been issued for Cockburn Ice Arena and Adventure World at Bibra Lake in the town of Cockburn.

People in the locations have been urged to seek shelter.

“You are in danger and need to act immediately to survive,” the Department of Fire and Emergency Services alert said late Tuesday.

“There is a threat to lives and homes.”

Firefighters are fighting the fire with the support of aerial bombers.

A watch and action alert has been issued for people in some suburbs and in a park bordering the emergency area.

Adventure World is closed today but the ice rink is open, despite temperatures exceeding 38C.
