Adele is left temporarily DEAF in one ear after suffering from an agonising infection which she claims was ‘more painful than childbirth’

Adele was left temporarily deaf in one ear after suffering from an agonizing ear infection for the past eight weeks.

The Hello singer, 36, has experienced pain “worse than childbirth” after suffering a “grim” rare infection.

Adele told her audience that she had contracted a rare bacteria from the water during her ten-day residency in Munich in August.

She said: ‘I have an ear infection, which is quite serious.

‘I’ve never had one before. It’s the most painful thing that has ever happened to me.

‘It was worse than childbirth. It is a rare water bacteria. It is very difficult to treat.

“I was on the wrong antibiotics for a few days and they managed to give me one that started working.”

Adele, who has son Angelo, 12, with ex-husband Simon Konecki, is coming to the end of her Weekends With Adele residency in Sin City after two years of performing sporadically there.

The singer began a course of antibiotics to treat the condition, but was initially prescribed the wrong ones for a few days.

The wrong medication made the artist want to cut off her ear due to the pain.

She said: ‘I was on the wrong antibiotics for a few days and they managed to give me one that started working. I wanted to cut off my ear several times.

“I’m no longer in pain, which is great, but I’m a little deaf in my left ear!”

Meanwhile, the singer, who is now engaged to sports agent Rich Paul, is a cat lover and revealed she has created a special room in her mansion so she can rescue a host of moggies one day.

She said: “I will definitely become an emergency foster mom to a cat once I move into my new house.”

‘I’ve created a room that my fiancé doesn’t even know exists and I’m going to have a bunch of boxes built into the wall with all the supplies.

“He’ll never know, but now he might know because I said it on stage.”

“I would gladly do it full time.”
