The British singer, 35, spotted a sign in the audience of her Weekends With Adele show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace before accepting the request.
In a now-viral video shared online by the baby’s father, Adele agreed to reveal the child’s gender during her sold-out performance.

At the start of the video, Adele asked the couple their names, who they said were Shantelle and Chris, from New York.

Shantelle, who told the performer she was 18 weeks old, impressed the star for being able to sneak a sign in, which is apparently not allowed.
Adele then told them, “I’ve never done this before!”
Shantelle responded, “I’m so honored that you’re going to do this for us. We’ve known for 12 weeks and we’ve been waiting for this moment.’
After opening the envelope, Adele announced, “Shantelle and Chris are having a baby, boy!”
Chris started cheering and waving his arms as Adele brought Shantelle in for a hug.
As the couple shared a sweet kiss, Adele said, “That was great. I am so happy for you!’
Adele was overwhelmed and began to cry as she shed tears of happiness for the couple.
She then made a request to the expectant parents: “If and when I get pregnant, will you reveal my gender?”

The video’s caption read, “(Adele) you are amazing and we will remember this night for the rest of our lives.”
Last month, Adele had to pause one of her shows to address the latest trend of throwing objects at people on stage during their performances.
The trend started last month when Bebe Rexha was punched in the face with a cell phone, followed by a fan throwing her mother’s ashes on stage at Pink’s concert.
Adele jokingly “challenged” the audience to throw something at her.
said the singer: “Have you noticed that people are forgetting f**king show etiquette right now?
Throwing s**t on stage, did you see them? I dare you, I dare you to throw something at me, I will kill you.’
She then took aim with her t-shirt gun and shot it at the crowd before telling them to ‘stop throwing things at the performer’, then started laughing that she can ‘shoot things at the audience’.
It comes after 42-year-old Pink recently received a number of gifts on stage, with one fan even throwing her mother’s ashes.
Pink was singing her hit song Perfect when she saw the wheel of Brie De Meaux, a French cheese.
The fan splashed the cash on the gift, which retails for between £60-£100+ for a 3kg block.
Delighted with the snack, Pink gave an air hug and thanked them before continuing with the song.
The Never Gonna Not Dance Again singer received a number of other gifts from her loyal fans during her two American Express Presents BST Hyde Park shows, including teddy bears, flowers and artwork.
But she was shocked when she was handed the bag of cremated remains and asked the audience to clarify that it was their mother’s remains – before saying, “I don’t know how to feel about that.”
After walking back to the stage from the center walkway, Pink added, “I have to say that was a first.”

The man who threw a phone at singer Bebe Rexha was arrested on Sunday during the concert in New York City.
The 33-year-old singer/songwriter was playing a concert at The Rooftop on Pier 17 on Sunday during her Best F’n Night Of My Life tour when she was punched in the face by a phone.
As seen in a Twitter video, the Back to You artist was seen singing and making her way to the front of the stage in a purple ensemble, her blonde locks hanging down.
As the Brooklyn resident faced the audience, a phone was seen charging in from the crowd and punching her right in the face.
After a moment of shock, the Grammy-nominated singer fell to her knees with her head down as multiple crew members rushed to her aid in the wings.
In a new video, the man is found by security who pulls him out of the crowd and over the barrier.
Meanwhile, fans chanted “a**hole” and “that’s assault” as he was taken away.
The video was shared by some attendees of the concert in the Big Apple on Sunday when someone posted under the handle @RossBernaud a video of the entertainer, whose full name is Bleta Rexha, being helped off stage after the hurtful incident.

As she was attended to by medics and led behind the auditorium curtain, she waved to the audience.
“This is Bebe Rexha being rushed out of the concert hall here in NYC after someone threw a horrible phone and smacked her face as she left the stage,” the Twitter user captioned the clip.
“We all had a great time and so did Bebe, we all had a great time, I mean who would even do that??? We hope you’re doing well @BebeRexha.’
A tweet from the Pop Base account read: “Bebe Rexha’s mother reveals she had to undergo three stitches after someone in the audience threw a phone at her head during her concert.”
