Adam Sandler has confirmed that rapper Eminem will make an ‘insane’ appearance in Happy Gilmore 2.
The actor, 58, made the big reveal during his appearance on Friday’s episode The Dan Patrick Show.
He also confirmed that production on the highly anticipated sequel had wrapped and that the film could premiere on Netflix as early as July 2025.
At first, Sandler wasn’t sure he would be able to release the film – which will also star NFL stars Travis Kelce and Ben Stiller – before getting excited about Eminem’s surprise cameo.
“I don’t know if… either way they’re going to yell at me for asking me not to do press, but what do you want to say?” Sandler would host Patrick, who also appears in the film. “You say it and I’ll tell you if it’s a good or bad thing to talk about.”
To which Patrick replied, “Can I talk about Eminem having a cameo?”

The pair laughed and explained that the 52-year-old rapper was “cool” and “great” to work with.
Sandler added, “Okay, yes, you can. Eminem was cool, he came around, he was great.”
While it wasn’t revealed what role the Lose Yourself hitmaker is playing in Happy Gilmore 2, Sandler did say he was “funny as hell” on set.
“I’ve known Eminem for a long time, he’s a great guy and he came in and was really funny,” he said.
“I think we just hung out with Eminem for a day and he just shot and shot and he was crazy. (He) said a million things we can use and a million that we’re glad we have him on tape.”
In May, streaming giant Netflix shared a press release stating that a sequel to Happy Gilmore was in the works.
The news wasn’t a surprise, however, as Christopher McDonald – who appeared as Shooter McGavin in the original company in 1996 – said a sequel was in the works in March.
During an August interview with IndieWire, Sandler said Benny Safdie had “a juicy role” in the highly anticipated film.

We also know that The Substance bombshell Margaret Qualley and retired golf legend Jack Nicklaus, 84, are also part of the star-studded cast.
Later on Friday The Dan Patrick Show, Sandler explained that he hopes to premiere his film sometime in July 2025, but no official release date has been confirmed.
When Patrick asked the Spanglish star if he felt pressure to release a sequel more than thirty years after the flagship film came out, he said, “A lot.”
“We have a lot of good stuff – I mean good stuff – and we just want to make sure it all comes together and keeps it going from start to finish, and that’s the goal,” the actor said.
‘We’ll see. We’re definitely nervous, but we feel a kind of confidence.”
Earlier in November, Eminem was spotted filming Happy Gilmore 2 in New Jersey.
An insider close to the production told The Sun at the time: “Em is a huge fan of the original film and it was a pleasure working with him.”
He added: ‘He was just super calm, he didn’t have a big entourage and was just an absolute joy on set.
“He plays a comedic role and he really had fun with it. To do this, he flew in alone the night before and left the next night. It was a one-day shoot.”
