Adam Lambert attacks online trolls after homophobic comments were directed at his boyfriend Oliver Gliese: ‘We really don’t give a shit’
Adam Lambert has spoken out against homophobic comments directed at his boyfriend, Oliver Gliese, after they enjoyed a night out in West Hollywood on Friday.
The 41-year-old singer posted a lengthy message to his Instagram Story on Saturday night to express his thoughts on the harsh online reaction to his outing photos.
The American Idol runner-up, who recently opened up about the kind of music he would never perform, began by expressing that while he enjoyed his time with his boyfriend, he was taken aback by the reaction to the photos.
Lambert wrote that ‘Oli and I had a fun night! Rare to find fries in WEHO, so retro. Ha ha. It lifts my spirits to see support in the comments. It also horrifies me to see the hateful homophobia and ignorance that plagues people.
The hitmaker went on to express why exactly he was so attracted to his partner.

He wrote: ‘Oli identifies as him. he has a wicked style and refuses to conform to societal norms regarding his fashion choices. He is beautiful, brave and daring. He is a leader, not a follower. One of the many things I love about him!’
Lambert later wrote that he was not interested in dealing with immature and homophobic comments.
We’re so happy together and if the haters don’t like it, we really don’t give a shit. Grow and challenge yourself to explore tolerance. We are all trying to stay happy and satisfied with our lives,” he wrote.
The artist concluded by offering his honest opinion on the people who had been posting the homophobic comments.
“Most likely, if you’re busy nosing us online, you’re miserable in your own life and can’t deal with your problems,” she wrote.
Oliver also took to his Instagram to condemn the ‘fans’. He then thanked the fans who showed their support for him.
Lambert and Gliese, 28, were initially linked in 2020 after taking a PDA-filled trip to Mexico.
The hitmaker was previously in a relationship with Sauli Koskinen which ended in 2013, though the two remained on friendly terms.
Subsequently, the interpreter was linked to Javi Costa Polo for several months in 2019.

Lambert spoke about his relationship with Gliese during an interview with Peoplewhere he talked about the qualities he values in his partner.
We are very good at communicating. I think that’s the key to a healthy relationship. All couples have disagreements or misunderstandings, but if you can sit down and talk, that’s for the best. We have that, and I’m really grateful for it,’ she said.
The artist also spoke about experiencing homophobic abuse after photos of him kissing a man were released early in his career.
The artist expressed that although he was initially puzzled by the situation, it made me stronger and informed me about the type of art he wanted to do.
