Prominent progressive filmmaker Michael Moore has boldly predicted that Trump “is finished” in the upcoming election.
The Fahrenheit 9/11 director made the statement on MSNBC on Sunday, speaking about the state of the race and how he thinks his home state of Michigan will play a role.
Moore, a Democrat, correctly predicted the 2016 election, but told host Ayman Mohyeldin that this time Trump will likely lose.
He added that Trump supporters would be “surprised” by the result, even though he warned just a few days ago that Harris could lose the race if she does not accept a ceasefire in Israel and demand the return of all hostages held by Hamas.
At the time, the Bowling for Columbine creator said Harris could lose Michigan, but on Sunday he sang a different tune and insisted the Democrat would pull out a victory.

The Fahrenheit 9/11 director made the statement on MSNBC on Sunday, speaking about the state of the race and how he thinks his home state of Michigan will play a role.
Moore, a Democrat, correctly predicted the 2016 election, but said Trump is “toast” this time. He added that he was “optimistic” that Harris would achieve a victory.
“I don’t think they realize what a gift the Trump campaign continues to give us, I don’t think they’re really in touch with the situation that most Americans find themselves in,” Moore, 70, began.
“The majority of Americans do not want this division, they do not want a threat of violence,” he insisted.
“It’s okay that we don’t agree with each other, but that’s where it ends.”
First admitting that either outcome is not the end of the world, he went on to tell Mohyeldin that he believes ‘(MAGA) are going to be very surprised,
“I’m talking about Trump people and MAGA nation, for what’s happening on Tuesday,” he explained in more detail, before openly declaring: “I feel like Trump is finished, absolutely.
‘I feel it more now.
“I don’t want to say it too loudly because our job is not done,” Moore quickly added, with Election Day just hours away. “We all have to make sure people vote.”
Moore, a Democrat who correctly predicted the 2016 election, provided the prediction to Ayman Mohyeldin, a political commentator for NBC News and MSNBC.
“The majority of Americans do not want this division, they do not want a threat of violence,” he insisted. ‘(MAGA) are going to be very surprised’
The man whose last major work was the 2018 anti-Trump documentary ‘Fahrenheit 11/9’ proceeded to urge people to go to the polls, telling them to “think of three people you might know at work or school or whatever they’re not going to vote for, to get them to the polls, drive there.
“We have work to do in these 48 hours, but with that said, I am very optimistic and hopeful,” he continued, before mentioning that he believes Americans in Michigan will end up voting blue.
‘Frankly, I know people who see this say, Mike, how can you say that?’ he added about such a perspective.
“We’ve got all these crazy people and Trump and (Richard) Stearns and MAGA Nation, and what I’m telling you is, obviously, I have a lot of deep, personal faith in my fellow Americans.”
Election day is Tuesday.
