Drake Bell’s wife Janet von Schmeling has filed for divorce from the beleaguered actor a week after he resurfaced after being reported missing.
von Schmeling, 28, said in court documents he reviewed TMZ She and the actor, 36, initially split from each other in September 2022.
The platform reported that von Schmeling said that the reason behind the separation after four years of marriage is irreconcilable differences.
The couple are parents to a one-year-old son, White Bell, whom von Schmeling seeks for primary legal and physical custody of him.
Von Schmeling said she was open to Bell receiving a visit from their son as part of the divorce agreement.

The news comes a week after the actor took to Twitter on April 13 to express his shock at the widespread news that his family had reported him missing, and officials had issued an alert saying he was missing and endangered.
“You leave your phone in the car and don’t answer all night and that?” Bell wrote on Twitter, with a face accompanied by a tears of joy emoji.
The Newport Beach, California-born artist was reported missing by the family before police found him around 1pm EST on April 13 in Florida.

The Daytona Beach Police Department confirmed earlier: “At this time, we can confirm that law enforcement officials are in contact and that Mr. Bell is safe.”
The series of disturbing events follows years of erratic behavior including multiple DUI arrests and a guilty plea to charges of attempted child endangerment and publication of juvenile harmful material for which he received two years’ probation.
In January, Pell reportedly entered therapy weeks after appearing to be sucking on a balloon in the front seat of his parked car for more than thirty minutes outside his home – with his son in the car.
Soon after, the star and his wife Von Schmeling, also an actress, divorced, and the latter moved to Florida with their son, Jeremy.
Then on Friday, the former kid was seen running errands in his Los Angeles neighborhood, heading to a local vaping store.
He entered the store on his own, wearing a black T-shirt and black slacks with black sneakers, before emerging several minutes later with a shopping bag.
In December, DailyMail.com revealed exclusive photos of Bell, best known for his roles on Drake & Josh and The Amanda Show, inhaling inflated balloons in the front seat of his car parked outside his Los Angeles home.
Wearing a basketball cap and a pair of sunglasses, he was seen inflating and deflating the pink balloon for more than half an hour.
The Daytona Beach Police Department said Bell was last seen traveling in a gray 2022 BMW near Mainland High School just before 9 p.m. on April 12, before he was taken away.

The actor was later seen taking his sleeping young son from the back seat of the car and bringing him home. It is unclear what, if any, material is inside the balloons.
The incident occurred while Bell, born Jared “Drake” Bell, was on two years’ probation for endangering the girl’s welfare when she was only fifteen.
Bell was sentenced in July 2021 to two years probation and 200 community hours after pleading guilty to child endangerment charges.
Authorities said a 15-year-old girl who attended one of Bell’s concerts in Cleveland in 2017 contacted Toronto police in October 2018 about being sexually assaulted.
Toronto authorities then forwarded their findings to the Cleveland Police, which triggered an investigation. They found that Bell and the girl had developed an online relationship before the concert, with Bell sending the girl “inappropriate messages on social media”.
He was later charged with attempted child endangerment because he “breached a duty of care” and created a risk of harm to the victim, Tyler Sinclair, a spokesperson for the Cuyahoga County District Attorney’s Office, explained.
In her impact statement, the victim claimed to have performed oral sex on the star.
“These are unforgivable and unforgivable crimes,” she said. They cannot be returned. He was calculating, he took advantage of me and sexually assaulted me. He is a monster and a danger to children.
She added, “I am asking you to kindly send a strong message that these crimes are not okay, no matter who the person is.”

During the sentencing, his lawyer made it clear that he had not been charged with crimes more serious than the sexual assault and pedophilia that the victim alleged in the statement of impact.
Bell pleaded guilty to felony attempted child endangerment and to a misdemeanor count of publishing material harmful to minors.
But months later, he tried to downplay his conviction in a mysterious Instagram video.
“Most of the news I’ve heard lately is completely false and false,” he said.
I know this moved fast for you, but for me, it was a three-year thorough investigation into every false claim that was made. And I’m not telling you the allegations are false, but the State of Ohio has proven the claims false.

And when I was offered a plea deal, because of the letters, I felt that was the best way to get this over quickly, and to enable everyone involved to move on. And to get back to doing what I love, and that is making music for you.
“I want to thank you, um, to everyone who saw the lies and did the research and looked at my case and saw it for what it was instead of all this media confusion.”
He concluded, “Don’t believe the media right away. There is a lot of click-baiting out there. Do your own research and come to your own conclusions. I just want to say thank you to everyone for sticking with me. I love you and I’ll see you soon.”
The former child star was sentenced to four days in jail in 2015 for drunk driving, and it was his second DUI conviction in the six-year time period.
