At least one firefighter has been killed in a shooting at a fire station in Santa Clarita, California, after a gunman who opened fire drove to his home, barricaded himself inside and then set the house on fire.
The shooting happened around 11 a.m. local time at Fire Station 81 in Santa Clarita on Tuesday.
One firefighter was killed and another was injured, shot multiple times.
According to initial reports, the gunman then fled in a white SUV and drove to an Acton property on Bent Spur Drive, where he barricaded himself inside.
ABC reports that he set the house on fire and that the gunman is a disgruntled employee.
The gunman drove to this house – presumably his – in Acton and set it on fire. It is unclear if he is still inside or if it is a decoy
