Acrobat is HANDMADE by the police for wearing a thong bikini in Myrtle Beach

Startling video shows a young woman handcuffed on a North Carolina beach after ‘Karen’ called the police and complained about her thong bikini.

Sam Panda, a professional aerialist, enjoyed some sand and sun this weekend when police officers showed up and handcuffed her – all because, she said, another woman didn’t approve of her swimsuit.

“A woman called me about my bikini,” she wrote Facebook, sharing the loft. “That’s how it all started. Some Karen decided that my body offended her and showed her child that one day her body could lead to her arrest. ‘

The video begins with Sam in handcuffs, with two officers – who are not wearing face masks – holding her.

She has demanded that the criminal code be shown that she cannot wear her bikini on the beach, and one of the officers says they will show them the ordinance with their car.

“Why is it illegal to wear a bikini on the beach?” a man outside the camera asks, as Sam adds, “I literally wear this every day.”

But when they arrive at the car, the officer reads an ordinance out loud, saying that “it is illegal for anyone to appear naked” on public beaches.

“I’m not naked!” Sam protests.

The officer replies that she is wearing a thong, which Sam says is not naked.

“You’re putting me in handcuffs because I’m in a thong!” she says, begging the cop to release her.

Laws: The officer reads an ordinance saying that “it is illegal for anyone to appear naked” on public beaches

Rules: Section 14-83 of the Municipal Code of the City, adopted in 1993, states: “Public exposure of specified anatomical parts illegal”

Consequences: The regulation prohibits showing buttocks. Previously, officers first issued a warning, but in 2009 the law changed. Now agents can give a ticket right away

While the officer-read regulation for nudity doesn’t seem to really apply to Sam’s thong bikini, the city of Myrtle Beach actually prohibits strings on the beach.

Section 14-83 of the city municipal code, adopted in 1993, states: “Public exposure of specified anatomical parts is illegal.”

“It will be illegal for a person to intentionally appear in a public place in such a state of dressing or undressing to show the human male or female genitals, pubic area, pubic hair, buttocks, anus, vulva, or any part of the female breast on or under the areola ‘, it says.

Especially the inclusion of ‘buttocks’ excludes the wearing of strings.

According to affiliated with NBC WMBFThose who broke the law were initially warned to hide before officers issued a ticket.

However, in 2009, the City Council updated the regulation to lift warnings.

“There has been a law against strings for the past 16 years,” then Mayor John Rhodes said at the time. “Is it a good thing? A bad thing? Well, it’s the law. ‘

“I’m not naked. Everything private is covered, ”she says. “You can’t tell me I can’t wear a thong”

“A woman called me about my bikini,” she said. “Some Karen decided that my body offended her and showed her child that one day her body could lead to her arrest.”

Still, the law and its update seem to require the officers to have given Sam a ticket – not to handcuff her.

In the video, the officers also object to what Sam’s girlfriend is wearing: a see-through white top through which her nipples are visible.

After constant arguing over whether a string is naked or not, one of the officers changes direction saying she was being held for ‘how [she was] Act.’

It takes a few minutes for a third officer to show up. Sam explains the situation to the third officer and gives him a play-by-play of the events that led to that moment.

“I’m not naked. Everything private is covered, ”she says. “You can’t tell me I can’t wear a thong.”

Police say the call came from someone who complained about two women “wearing thong bikinis and see-through tops dancing and asking videos on the beach.”

TMZ reports that local police allege that the call came from someone who complained about two women “wearing thong bikinis and a see-through top dancing and asking videos on the beach.”

The police say that Sam was trying to run away, so they detained her.

They were released without charge.

Sam later shared the video on Facebook – where she was not complaining about the officers, but about the woman who called the police in the first place.

“If you are a woman and you decide to call the police about other women for their bodies ON A BEACH, FOR YOUR TEEN-DAUGHTER …

“You had a 105-pound woman chased, aggressively grabbed, assaulted and handcuffed. You made two women shame on the beach in public for their swimwear.

And worst of all, you showed your daughter that her body is something she should be ashamed of and what she can be detained for. You showed her that a man can harm a woman about the way her body is viewed by other people.

“You have objectified a female body that is not yours and you have shown your daughter that those actions are acceptable. You should be ashamed of yourself, ”she wrote.
