Three people are in critical condition after a horror crash between a car and a B-double truck on a major highway.
The accident occurred on the D-Aguilar Highway near the Nanango Tarong Road intersection, in Nanango, northwest of Brisbane, before 6am on Thursday.
The driver of the semi-trailer, aged in his 50s, suffered minor injuries and was rushed to Kingaroy Hospital by paramedics in a stable condition.

The highway has been closed in both directions south of Nanango and motorists have been asked to avoid the area.
The B-double truck was found on an embankment near the road when emergency services arrived at the scene.
The cab of the truck, in which the driver of the heavy vehicle sits, overturned near a ditch after the collision.
The multiple trailers the truck was pulling managed to stay on the road.
Dozens of police and emergency services vehicles were seen at the junction and the vehicles had blocked part of the junction.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia that three people suffered life-threatening injuries.

The spokeswoman confirmed that the truck driver suffered lacerations and was taken to hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.
At this time it is unknown if the three people were traveling in the vehicle.
