Torino were reduced to 10 men in the 69th minute when defender Koffi Djidji received a second yellow card for a challenge on Milan substitute Junior Messias.

Turin, who have won the Italian Cup five times but not since 1993, joined Milan’s local rivals Inter in the last eight after Simone Inzaghi’s side advanced with a 2-1 win over Parma on Tuesday.
But they will face Sampdoria or Fiorentina in the quarter-finals of the competition.
This was Milan’s second surprise result in less than a week after Sunday’s disappointing 2-2 draw at home to Roma as they lately squandered a two-goal lead.
Next for Stefano Pioli’s men is a trip to Lecce in Serie A on Saturday.
